    Record | Master | Notate Sometimes inspiration comes when you least expect it - perhaps in the evening after work or school, maybe during a weekend morning morning prayer time over a cup of ocffee, maybe even during an event or retreat.

    Find a tool that you can easily capture your idea or inspiration with at that moment. You don't want to forget it! Maybe this means a handheld voice recorder that you carrry around in your car - driving to and from work. Maybe its a interview-type lapel mic that you attach to your shirt.

    Our experience is that having a laptop or notebook computer with a verison of Audacity (as mentioned in the toolbox ), is one of the easist ways to capture a snapshot of your inspiration or idea -- even if it is a rough recording of your song idea.
